1890’s Busby 8th Princess Louise New Brunswick Hussars

Price: $899.00

Excellent condition hussar busby. Formerly from the estate of James William Domville. Domville was born in British Honduras in 1842. After receiving his education at Woolwich Military College, he eventually arrived in St. John, New Brunswick in 1866. From 1869 onwards he was associated with the volunteer militia for the rest of his life. He organized the 8th Hussars and commanded the unit for 20 years. He was elected to the House of Commons in 1872 as the representative of Kings County, New Brunswick. He passed away on 30th of July, 1921 in St. John, N.B. The busby itself appears to be a shorter model for troopers. However it did come from his estate. Overall condition is excellent. Maker is Hobson and sons. A very scarce piece of New Brunswick history.
