Interesting Australian female relatives badge. These were issued to women who had a male relative serving in the armed forces during the the Second World War. The star pendant hanging below the badge indicates one serving member. The reverse is marked, Issued by the commonwealth government. Also marked is a serial number A22820 and Amor of Sydney, the manufacturer. Interestingly the front pendant has an Australian service number etched into it, QX30306. Possibly done by a member of the family? After a quick internet search I found this corresponded to Andrew Joseph McLucas. His 17 page is actually on the net and is an interesting read. He served in the Royal Australian Engineers. He signed up in Brisbane in 1942 and was discharged in 1945. His medal entitlement consists of the Pacific Star, War Medal and Australian Service Medal. All this from a small pin. Got to love the commonwealth stuff. Pin itself measures about an inch and a quarter, minus the pendant.
