15.5×20 inches approximately. Patriotic frame done for a soldier of the 22nd Infantry Regiment, First Upper Silesian, of Gleiwitz. This was done to commemorate the pre war service time of an unnamed soldier from 1905-1907. In its original frame. While we are accustomed to seeing regimental steins as a souvenir of a German soldiers service time, it is quite uncommon to see a cross stitch. The soldier in question is also a marksman as is shown by his marksmanship lanyard. A very unique form of patriotic art.
