1853 Pattern Enfield Musket

1853 Pattern Enfield musket. Overall condition is good. Tower marked and dated 1862. Also has the standard Victorian crown but no VR indicating commercial model.Other markings include a "25" and "2". Butt tang is numbered 1590. Has a later ram rod from the 1860's period. Rear site has been removed at some point and a fixed site has been made. Other than described, no other markings visible. Appears to be fully functional. Very likely one of the many thousands shipped over for service in the American Civil War. Overall just a great early Enfield. No firearms licence required. Total length is approximately 54 inches.
