First War Brirish/ Canadian Cavalry Mess Tin

Very good condition 1st War Brit/Canadian cavalry mess tin. Comes with original leather strap. Unmarked specimen. There is a diamond stamp on the leather strap. Has the name Wingate and the serial #1807282. I have been unable to find any info on this individual. Some surface rusting that could be removed but I have left it as found.
