Very decent condition First World War Pickelhaube or spiked helmet. Missing the kokarden and the chin strap. Grey metal fittings as per wartime manufacture. Smaller size. Small tear in the rear skirt. Marked to IR 97, Infanterie Regiment 97 which was the 1st Upper Rhein Regiment garrisoned in Saarburg. Typical veteran bring back piece. Two chunks of leather holding in the plate.
