A rather unique little piece of patriotic jewlery produced for a soldier serving in the Congo. Silver backed. The front appears to be silver inset into tortoise shell. A German soldier in a spiked helmet is barely escaping the jaws of a snapping crocodile. Inset is the title "Congo". Would have hung from a chain originally. Likely produced in Africa for a loved one back home. Not marked as silver but likely is. About the size of a loonie. Not commonly seen.
