Absolutely gorgeous percussion Belgian pocket pistol set. Pistol and tools date to around the 1830's. Fitted oak box is slightly later and dates from the Art Nouveau period in the 1890's. Pistol is marked with ELG in an oval indicating proofing in a Liege, Belgium proof house. High quality pistol when double cocked reveals the trigger mechanism. Pistol itself measures about 5 1/4 inches. All tools and accent on the pistol are horn. Wooden box even comes with its original key.
