This 25 inch long model of a German cruiser is one of the best I have ever seen. The amount of detail on this wooden model is astounding. From the hand carved sailors, to the funnels to the hand painted flags. It is definitely at least 70 years old. Judging by the amount of details on this model I believe it was likely carved by a sailor who served on one of these vessels. Could possibly be from the First War or just after. It has a few bits that are loose but could easily be refluxed. The turrets actually swivel. I don't see a name on the ship. Even has the correct admirals flag that was flown only when an admiral was on board. Just a large beautifuly done ship.A beautiful addition to a naval collection.
