Very good condition Saxon Model 1845 Faschinemesser. Unfortunately missing its leather scabbard. Some brown surface rust overall. Huge blade is about 18 3/4 inches. Total length is approximately 24 1/2 inches. This is quite the chunk of a short sword with its solid cast brass grip and hilt. Quite a scarce thing. Maker marked PDL.
