Unique little monocular with the manufacturers mark of  Theodore Stöckigt of Erfurt impressed into the leather of the case. Approximately 4 inches in length when fully extended. Inscribed on the monocular itself is the inscription: In remembrance of my service time, 2. East Asia Regiment. Optics are clear and fully functional but glass has a crack. Items attributed to East Asian expeditionary corps are exceptionally rare. A unique period in German colonial history that lasted from about 1898 until 1914.
