British Officers Uniform Grouping Pre War

Price: $1700.00

Extensive uniform grouping to Captain S.H. Bantick of the 19th(County of London) Battalion The London Regiment (St. Pancras)(TF). The London Gazette shows Bantick achieved the rank of Lieutenant on January 1st 1907. The uniform grouping consists of a high quality red Serge officers tunic with officers collars and buttons for the 19th. The other uniform is a mess dress also with three pips and a T for Territorial Army. Also a home pattern blue helmet with kings crown officers plate. A tropical pith helmet with lion over kings crown(2nd Battalion of the 19th served in the Middle East during the First World War). Other personal effects are included including a sterling inkwell, sash, boot pulls, etc. This grouping was acquired directly from the family. Stored in an attic for the past 30 plus years, the two uniforms and the home pattern blue helmet have sustained moth damage. Unfortunate however still a very beautiful and unique grouping attributable to a pre First War Territorial Army officer. Would make for an interesting research project.
