Absolutely beautiful etched and blued bladed sword maker marked to Alexander Coppel of Solingen. Sword dates from the Weimar period. Both sides of the blade are etched and blued. One side bears the Reiter Regiment 14 etching and the reverse shows a cavalry charge. Some overall rusting to the hilt and D guard. Scabbard has been repainted at some point. The scabbard while it is the correct pattern does not reach the hilt of the sword. Too bad as this is an exquisite example of Solingen quality.
