First one I have ever had in my hands. Approximately 22x14 inches. Ornate certificate states that Thomas McKay Robertson who served with the 43rd Battalion during the Fenian Raids of 1866 is to receive 159 1/2 acres in Ontario. Dated 1907. Robertson is not on Thyens roll for members of the 43rd Battalion. This is not uncommon however. A rare piece of Fenian Raid history. Paper is in decent condition but could use a good framing. Slight loss in the upper right corner. A rare piece!
