Very good condition British manufactured Mark IV canteen as used by Canadian troops in the Boer War once they realised how inappropriate the Oliver canteens were. This specimen has been stamped RCR 1 for 1st Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment on the wool cover. It also has a C broad arrow stamping. A very scarce attributable early piece of Canadian military history.
