Nassau Field Artillery Beer Stein

Price: $290.00

Beautifully detailed porcelain beer stein in the shape of an artillery shell. The final is an artillery piece with two soldiers wearing kugelhelms. Also a mounted trooper. Stein is named to Gefreiter Hild. The regiment represented is the 1st Battery, Nassau Field Artillery Regiment No. 27 Oranien in Mainz Gonsenheim 1910-1912. A nice pre war specimen. A scene is depicted in the bottom of the stein. The lid is a bit loose but no cracks or noticeable damage. The rear part of the stein looks blank but in actuality it is where the names of Hild's fellow artillery men would have been. Sadly they have almost vanished. Possibly put in a dishwasher? Overall though a beautiful quality stein. No maker Mark's on the bottom.
