Beautiful Austro Hungarian 1889 state officials sword. On the leather scabbard is the monogram of Franz Josef 1(pre 1916). Double headed eagle on the guard is the emblem of Austro Hungarian empire. The guard still has traces of its mercury fire gilting. Blade length is approximately 31 inches. Some darkening to blade that would definitely clean up.A beautiful sword that has spent the last several decades in a collection. No makers mark anywhere to be seen.
