Victorian Canadian/Brit Mess Dress

Good condition red serge mess dress uniform and accompanying blue vest. Mess dress uniform has Victorian general list buttons on the cord shoulder boards and at the neck closure. Has an old repair to the right arm. Has hook closures on the front which are all there. All beading is intact. Vest that came with is in decent shape but has some staining on the interior and a tear in the neck area. This was sourced many years ago at the Sussex, New Brunswick flea market. When I originally purchased it there was a paper in the pocket with a name and regiment. The regiment was the 74th NB Rangers. Unfortunately the paper has been lost and so has the name unfortunately. I believe this dates from around the 1870's.
